1. If we need Prewitt help, how and how much?
- We have two fee-for-service arrangements: regular and
"contributor"
- Rates for both are based on host budget and POF hiree pay rate
- A "contributor" pays a nominal annual fee based on
size of organization (from $500 - $25,000) and is entitled to
low-cost and discounted support services including no-cost
direct recruiting for non-supervisory positions.
- Direct recruiting and for your in-house positions is billed
either as a percentage of first-year compensation or on an
hourly basis. Contributors are entitled to leave their new
hires on POF payroll for 60-90 days before moving them to more
permanent in-house payroll.

is the Prewitt Organizing Fund (POF)?
- We assist progressive organizations in planning and
executing important organizing campaigns and programs.
- We recruit, train and place good staff at all levels of projects and
institutions.
- We also spearhead projects with workers, consumers, students and
their allies in unique alliances on novel campaigns.

3. Who is Prewitt?
Phyllis Prewitt was a worker from Southern Missouri that became a volunteer
union organizer with the Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union in 1990. She became a full-time,
on-the-road organizer shortly after. The Fund is named in her memory.

is POF? POF Board, Founders and Key Staff include: Megan Parke,
Director;
William Wasserman; Director; Marc Panepinto, Director; and
Duane Stillwell, General Counsel and Director.

Our directors and staff are experienced, dedicated organizers and
trainers from a variety of progressive backgrounds. You'll vet
them until we find the right fit for your project or organization.
